24th - 26th January 2009
The second meeting was held again at Langlee from the 24th to the 26th January 2009. There was a film crew following the events of the weekend. The BBC is making a follow-up to their previous documentaries. They were very inspirational and honoured the wishes of the people who didn't want to be filmed and gave people space when necessary.
The guest speaker, Manager of Central CAB gave a truly inspiring talk. She was helpful and sensitive to the needs of the group's requirements on the topics she covered so throughly.
A decision was reached that a minimum age limit of 18 would be applied for attendance at meetings.
Langlee Community Centre can accommodate 30 people. Partners/supports are welcome. Bring your own sleeping bag and pillows and towel. The cost for the weekend is £15 per person and the cost of your own carry-out meal on the Saturday evening. Individuals also gave a small donation to the Centre.
