13th - 15th March 2009

A warm welcome was extended to everyone, especially the four first time attendees.  It was great to have such a range of ages attending.

It was agreed at the meeting that the issues pertaining to the DLA forms and the work required to take this forward made this a long-term project for us to address and that we are to put a planning strategy and budget plan into action.  Interest was expressed by all in doing so and funding was discussed.

Information pertaining to the Vulnerable Adult Act (October 2008) is to be collated.  The importance of this legislation to the Association as a whole was recognised.

Janice and Ruth gave an insight into the work Tourette Scotland is proposing to undertake with regard to intergenerational work within the charity.

Feedback was, once again, extremely positive.  The opportunity to be oneself in this relaxed and accepting environment, the chance to share information and just have fun was so freeing and such a welcome change.  The choice either to join in or simply observe was appreciated.

The decision was taken to hold the next meeting on Saturday 6th June 2009, starting at 10am with the option of staying over until Sunday 7th.  Places are at a premium, so book early.
